What length of poles to buy?
Ever wonder if you are buying the right length of poles for your lil' ripper? It can be tough to estmate the added height of boots, endings, and skis when you are in the store. Also, how much are they going to grow this season? Well, the good folks at Komperdell have the perfect answer - adjustable poles! Just like the ones for backcountry skiing or hiking for adults - except the kids ones rance from 80cm to 105cm. That is 25cm of growth! Pretty darn good for a pole that cost

Keep that tummy happy!
The quickest way to divert your lil’ ripper’s attention from the fun of skiing / snowboarding is through an empty stomach. It seems that no matter how big or hearty of a breakfast we serve, there is no way to make it through to lunch without hearing “I’m hungry”. For this reason we started carrying little snacks around for the kids. I’m not a nutritionist and am ill equipped to advise on the types of snacks that you should carry, but am just saying that you should carry somet

Get that hair under control
Its been a long time since I've had to worry about getting hair in my face on a ski hill. My daughter; however, is constantly fussing about getting her hair caught in the goggles, or in her face. We found an awesome touque with a hole in the back (sauceheadwear.com) that works great for taming the crazy hair. It is a very thin material that fits nicely under the helmet without altering the fit.
